Basic Qualification/ Eligibility
Minimum 60% aggregate marks each in Matric, F.Sc (Pre-Medical) OR Equivalent.
Candidates awaiting result of Intermediate (Pre-Medical) annual Examination 2017 can apply on the basis of F.Sc Part-I. However, confirmation of admissions is subject to provision of F.Sc Certificate with detailed marks Certificate.
Candidates of A level (science group) or equivalent qualification, appearing in final examinations, can apply on the basis of O level / equivalent qualifications and equivalence certificate from Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) office but confirmation of admissions will be on provision of equivalence certificate for A Level /equivalent qualification.
Foreign Students can apply on basis of SAT-II Examination with minimum score of 550 marks in each of the three science subjects of which two have to be Biology and Chemistry OR MCAT with minimum aggregate score of 24.

NUMS Entry Test:
How to apply:
The NUMS Entry Test 2017 application shall be filled online. Just login at www.nts.org.pk and fill the Application Form.
After that the candidate can submit his/her application by clicking the submit button.
Upon successful submission of application, the candidate will be able to print NUMS Entry Test – 2017 fee challan.
The candidate is required to visit nearest branch of Habib Bank Ltd. (country wide) to deposit Entry Test Fee and send the copy of challan form to NTS at No. 1-E, street 46 Sector I-8/2, Islamabad before 31, July 2017
NTS will dispatch Roll No Slips to all the eligible candidates through courier.
NUMS Entry Test is mandatory for all Pakistani candidates including overseas residents except for foreign students (including Pakistanis with foreign nationality) for admissions in all NUMS Constituent and Affiliated Medical Colleges. Entry Test Fee is non refundable and non transferable.
Candidates are required to bring the printed admit cards to the test center along with original CNIC or form”B” or an original document with photograph like; passport, etc as per instructions by NTS.

Format of NUMS Entry Test:
NUMS Entry Test shall comprise a single question paper containing 180 multiple choice questions (MCQs) divided into the following four (04) sections:
Biology = 70 MCQs, Chemistry = 45 MCQs, Physics = 45 MCQs and English = 20 MCQs
The duration of the test shall be 180 minutes (3 hours) and the total marks shall be 180. There shall be No Negative Marking in the test.

Admissions Process:
For Army Medical College, Rawalpindi:
Admissions process for Army Medical College will start after declaration of NUMS Entry Test Result.
For admissions in Army Medical College, Rawalpindi Candidates shall apply to NUMS.
Prospectus including sample applications forms will be available online as well as at Admissions Office NUMS, Military Hospital, Rawalpindi Cantt.
Final selection of candidates will be based on aggregate marks calculated by adding the marks of a candidate as follows (except foreign candidates):
o Matric or Equivalent – 10%
o HSSC or Equivalent – 40%
o Entry Test – 50%
Admissions are based on open merit from all over Pakistan, including Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.
Merit for final selection on Foreign / Self finance seats will be calculated as under: –
o ‘O’ level – 10%
o ‘A’ level – 40%
o SAT-II or MCAT Score – 50%
All foreign qualifications must be supported by an Equivalence Certificate issued by IBCC. Decision of the NUMS Admissions Committee shall be final.
For NUMS Affiliated Colleges
: Admissions in Affiliated Medical Colleges will be advertised by respective institutions separately. For admissions in NUMS Affiliated Colleges candidate will apply directly to respective institutions with NUMS Entry Test Result.
