UVAS makes MCAT compulsory for DVM PharmD  and DND Admissions 2016-17

STUDENT’S ALERT

(Revised Admission Policy-2016)

The eligibility criteria for the admission from Session-2016 and onward has been revised for following 5-Years Degree Programs (Morning & Evening) for UVAS and its Affiliated Institutes.

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) (Morning/Evening)
• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D) (Morning/Evening)
• Doctor of Nutrition and Dietetics (DND) (Morning/Evening)

Eligibility Criteria

• Punjab-domiciled candidates interested to apply for the above mentioned 5-Yrears degree programs MUST appear in MCAT 2016 Entrance Examination conducted by University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore. The final merit will be based on marks obtained in Matric (10%), F.Sc. (40%) and MCAT-2016(50%).
• Candidates belonging to other Provinces of Pakistan/Agencies or Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) should appear in MCAT 2016 in their respective Provinces.
• Candidates applying on the basis of Overseas Pakistani must have either MCAT 2016 or any other equivalent examination from their countries of residence.
• Only those candidates appearing in MCAT- 2016 will be eligible to apply for above mentioned  5-Years Degree Programs.
• MCAT is NOT required for candidate applying in following 4-Years BS (Hons) Degree Programs.
  • BS (Hons) Applied Microbiology (Morning/Evening)
  • BS (Hons) Biochemistry (Morning/Evening)
  • BS (Hons) Biotechnology (Morning/Evening)
  • BS (Hons) Fisheries & Aquaculture
  • BS (Hons) Environmental Sciences
  • BS (Hons) Biological Sciences
  • BS (Hons) Dairy Technology
  • BS (Hons) Poultry Science
  • BS (Hons) Zoology
• Candidates securing at least 60% (660/1100) (excluding Hafiz-e-Quran) in F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) or any other equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University can apply for the above mentioned Degree Programs.
• Only “On-Line Submitted Application” will be entertained.
