The Admission Criteria for MBBS / BDS Session 2016-17

Definition Student Category

Local Student

The term Local means any person having Pakistani nationality

Foreign Student

The term Foreign means:-
 Applicant(s) having foreign credentials including valid passport.

Eligibility Criteria (Local + Foreign Students)

F.Sc. / qualification equivalent to Fsc from a foreign university or foreign education system with
three science subjects out of which Biology and Chemistry are essential subjects with a
minimum of 660/1100 i.e. 60% marks in aggregate (without marks of NCC or Hifz-e-Quran).
The third subject can either be Physics or Mathematics. The equivalence of IBCC will be
accepted in aggregate.
A student, who has availed four chances to clear the first professional MBBS / BDS exam and
has been expelled on that account, shall NOT be eligible for continuation of medical / dental
studies and shall NOT be eligible for fresh admission.

Admission / Selection Process

Qualification / Test Weightage
Matric / equivalent = 10%
F.S.c./ equivalent = 40%
NUMS Entry Test = 50%
or
(SAT II for foreign students only)
Note:
 Appearing in NUMS (National University of Medical Sciences) entry test is MANDATORY for admission as local student of MBBS/BDS in CMH LMC.
 SAT-II exam will not be taken as a substitute of NUMS entry test for local students of MBBS/BDS. However
foreign students can compete for admission in MBBS/BDS on the basis of SAT-II Exam / NUMS entry test.
