The University of Faisalabad Fall Admissions 2014

Admission Calendar

The Admissions in the degree programs of the University are done once a year in Fall Semester. Admission dates are normally in September / October. The candidates desirous of admissions are welcome in the admission office for all necessary information, answers to the questions and other guidelines about the University are provided with an idea that the new comers do not feel any kind of hesitation especially during their initial days in the University and for comfortable stay during their studies.

Guidelines for Admissions

he applicants are advised to go through the contents of the prospectus and familiarize themselves with the rules governing entrance test and interview for admission at the University of Faisalabad. They should check the eligibility criteria for a particular program.

The University of Faisalabad reserves the right to refuse admission to any individual without assigning any reason. A candidate shall not be entitled to claim admission as a matter of right even if he/she is otherwise eligible.

If some omission in the processing of application sis noticed at a late stage or the certificate / document of any candidate is found to be forged by the University, the University has the right to cancel admission of such student at any stage. All the dues paid shall be forfeited. Legal action shall be taken against such student(s). Applications found to be incomplete or not submitted on the prescribed form and those received after the due date shall not be entertained. The University takes no responsibility for any postal delay in the delivery of interview or intimation letter or any other communication relating to admission.

Confirmation of Admission

Selected candidates are required to confirm their acceptance by paying the non-refundable admission and tuition fee within the specified dates. Admission process will be completed after the payment of all dues and submission of enrollment forms. If a candidate fails to submit the enrollment form, his/her admission will stand cancelled and the seat will be offered to the next candidate on merit list.

Provisional Admission

Candidates awaiting result, may also apply and can be granted provisional admission if otherwise eligible. They are however, required to submit an affidavit to the effect that in case, after the declaration of result they do not meet the eligibility criteria, their admission may be cancelled. Initially, all admissions in the University are provisional subject to verification of their certificates / degrees. Applicants, who are provisionally admitted, must ensure that their results are received in the admissions office within four weeks of the commencement of semester otherwise their admission will be cancelled.

Cancellation of Admission / Re-Admission

If a student makes himself / herself absent from the class for a week, his/her shall be stuck off from the rolls of the school. Such student may be re-admitted with the approval of the concerned Head of School. The student shall have to pay the prescribed re-admission fee under intimation to the registrar. If a student fails to attend any lecture during the first four weeks after the commencement of the semester as per announced schedule, his / her admission shall stand cancelled without any notification.

Fee and Financial Support
Tuition Fee and Other Charges

The details about tuition fee, admission fee and other charges, both for local and international students, are available on a separate sheet provided with the application package. For queries relating to fees, the admission office may be contacted. Additional cheques shall be submitted by the students whenever there is raise in the fee.

The University reviews its tuition fee and other dues annually to cover inflation and other cost increases. Students are therefore advised to plan their financial obligations realistically before joining a particular course of study. Applicants doubtful of fee status should seek clarification from the Admission Office before applying.

Students defaulting on payments within due dates, may be suspended and /or debarred from attending classes and examinations until the clearance of dues in accordance with the University’s policies and procedures. Payments may be made in cash or through bank draft in favour of TUF. Personal cheques are also acceptable. Fee for the entire degree program will be received at the time of admission in the form of post dated cheques. Security is refundable only by crossed cheque in the name of father/guardian.

Merit Scholarships

TUF offers merit scholarships which may be up to 10% of the class size to those meritorious students who show extra ordinary performance. The amount of scholarships in each semester depending on their performance is ranging from Rs 5000 to Rs 15000.

Financial Assistance

A number of deserving students receive financial assistance out of funds provided by Madina Foundation-the sponsors of the University. These are need based but performance in studies at the end of semester also serves as criterion for grant of Financial Assistance. The deserving students should apply for financial assistance on the prescribed form at the time of admission in the university. The present policy of granting fee concessions / Financial assistance in later semesters has been discontinued.

Entry Requirement

The University of Faisalabad encourages all candidates to apply for admissions in various degree programs offered by the University. Admission to the University is however, subject to the following conditions:

The University admits academically sound individuals on the basis of merit determined by the pre-university academic record. To qualify for admissions, applicants must meet the general entrance requirement of the University. The eligibility conditions for each course of study are stated in the relevant degree program.
Applying to TUF:

Candidates will be asked to submit the following documents to the admission office along with the admission application form.

Three attested photocopies of the following documents:

  • Certificates/Detailed mark sheets of Secondary School Examination or equivalent certificate
  • Certificate/Detailed mark sheet of Intermediate Examination or equivalent certificate
  • Bachelor or equivalent degree for admission in Master/MPhil program

Applicants submitting A/O level certificates will also submit original equivalence certificates obtained from Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) at the time of admission. If their result is awaited at that time, they will be required to submit the equivalence certificate within four weeks of the commencement of the semester, failing which their admission will be cancelled.
