BACHELOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (HONORS)

The BBA (Hons.) program combines a strong grounding in business fundamentals and expertise in one of the three major functional areas – management, finance and marketing, with extensive exposure to arts, humanities, and social sciences. The curriculum is designed with significant flexibility so that students can complement their major with a minor or electives in non-major functional areas of business. The curriculum structure also allows students to take double majors or double minors in business or non-business fields.

Educational Objectives

The BBA (Hons.) program has three main goals:

  1. graduates will have a grounding in skills and concepts that are fundamental to business;
  2. graduates will experience deep expertise in one or more specific areas of business, selected according to the student’s personal and professional goals and objectives; and
  3. graduates will have extensive exposure to non-business fields through general education courses.

Admission

Those who completed FA/F.Sc/I.Com/A-level or equivalent with minimum second division are eligible for admission. Admission is granted on merit determined on the basis of scores earned in admission test and academic record.

Degree Requirements

The degree is awarded after completion of 126 credit hours of coursework with minimum CGPA of 2.00 and an internship of 6 to 8 weeks with an organization. The degree requirements are normally completed in 4 years spreading over 8 semesters. A student

who wishes to take double major or double minors may take longer to complete the additional coursework.

 

BS COMPUTER SCIENCE

BSCS program is aimed at developing sound foundations in areas of computer science. The theoretical and practical knowledge imparted to students during their degree program enables them the solve real- world problems through computers.The program has been designed keeping in view the emerging needs of the software industry and it meets all the requirements laid down by Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.

With the help of broad range of courses offered, students become proficient in computer applications, modern theoretical aspects of computer science, problem-solving skills, programming techniques and efficient utilization of tools used to develop computer applications aiming at finding fast and efficient solutions to the real world problems. Students are kept updated on the current and modern trends in the field of computer science through seminars, workshops, competitions, specialized courses and lectures organized by various societies of FIT.

The friendly and cooperative environment at FIT helps students enhance their technical skills through guidance and rigorous training. A thorough learning system at FIT encourages students to communicate effectively, interact in teams and improve problem-solving skills. Our successful graduates are equipped with all the necessary skills to be able to apply their computer science knowledge and skills in advancing their careers and for the overall benefit of society and technical community.

Program Requirements and Options

Eligibility

Intermediate or equivalent with minimum 2nd division. The students awaiting result may also apply for admission on provisional basis.

Minimum Duration 4 years
Minimum Credit Hours 130
Degree Completion Requirement Minimum CGPA of 2.0

BS (HONORS) – 4 YEARS

 

Specializations

  • Mass Communication & Research
  • Professional Journalism (TV, Radio & Print)
  • Broadcast (Radio,TV), Film &Theater Studies
  • Advertising & Public Relations

BS (Honors) 4 Years

This program is spread over a period of 4 years, divided into 8 semesters of 4 months each with four specializations. Total Number of Credit hours is 124-136 as recommended by HEC.

Eligibility:

F.A., F.SC, A-Level, I.Com or equivalent qualification. Applicants will go through a test and in-house interview.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING – B.SC. (ME)

Total Credits: 135 sch. CGPA Requirement for Degree 2.0 or more.

Eligibility for Admission

F.Sc (Pre-Engineering)/ A’ Level* (Math, Physics & Chemistry) with at least 60% marks.
Or
Diploma in Associate Electrical/Electronic Engineering with at least 60% marks (for Electrical Engineering)
Or
Diploma in Associate Mechanical Engineering with at least 60% mark (for Mechanical Engineering)
*A-Level students will have to submit equivalence certificate issued by the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC), Islamabad.

Admission Procedure

Admission to each program is granted strictly on merit which is determined on the basis of marks obtained in the following examinations:
HSSC – A-Levels/ Equivalent Exam Results – 70% weightage for determining the eligibility.

Entry Test – This test has 30% weightage and is considered for eligibility only.
Final merit list is prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the last examination.
NOTE: The merit and waiting lists are posted on the website and the notice board of Faculty. Admission letters to the successful applicants are issued and the fees are to be paid within the specific date.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING – B.SC (EE)

Total Credits: 135 sch. CGPA Requirement for Degree 2.0 or more.

Eligibility for Admission
