Online Admission Payment Procedure
  • Online admission charges are payable at any branch of Habib Bank Ltd. and Habib Metro bank.
  • The System generated Challan Form can be printed from Applicant’s Account after registration.
Ineligibility
  • Students dismissed from Air University are not eligible for re-admission in any of above academic programs.
  • Partial pass candidates will not be eligible for admission in any of above scheduled programs.
  • Please note that submitting incomplete, false, or misleading information is considered sufficient ground
    for denial of admission and dismissal at any time.
GAT
  • For award of MS Degree HEC requires GRE General/GAT-General Test (at least 50% score).
  • This must be passed before the date of admission.

Bachelor Programs
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA-Honors)
    • Applicants must have passed: The Intermediate (Part I and II) examination of any Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education in Pakistan. Applicants must have scored 50% or more marks. OR An examination equivalent to Intermediate. Such candidates are required to submit an Equivalence Certificate issued by the Inter Board Chairman Committee, Islamabad, before the semester starts. This certificate must indicate the marks equivalent to marks in the Intermediate examination. OR The GCE ‘A’ level examination with three subjects. Such candidates are required to submit an Equivalence Certificate issued by the Inter Board Chairman Committee, Islamabad, before the semester starts. This certificate must indicate the marks equivalent to marks in the Intermediate examination.
    • Applicants awaiting results may be given provisional admission until the declaration of their respective results. Only those scoring 50% or more marks shall be considered. Those scoring less than 50% marks shall have their provisional admissions cancelled and shall be withdrawn from their respective programs.
    • Applicants scoring minimum passing marks in the Intermediate or in GCE ‘A’ level or in any other examination equivalent to the intermediate are eligible for admission. Those getting partial pass results due to any reason, or who are required to appear in compartment/supplementary paper(s), are not eligible for admission even if their aggregate marks are 50% or more in their respective examination.
    • The absolute value of percentage is considered as final; it is not rounded off to the next whole number, e.g., 49.9% is considered 49.9% and NOT 50%.
    • Candidates who qualify the Admission Test will appear in an interview for final selection.
  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering / Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering / Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering:
    • Applicants must have passed: Intermediate (Part I and II) examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from any Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education in Pakistan. Applicant must have scored 60% or more marks, OR An examination equivalent to Intermediate. Such candidates are required to submit an Equivalence Certificate issued by the Inter Board Chairman Committee, Islamabad before the semester starts. This certificate must indicate the marks equivalent to marks in Intermediate, OR GCE ‘A’ level examination with three subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Math.). The candidates are required to submit an Equivalence Certificate issued by the Inter Board Chairman Committee, Islamabad before the semester starts. This certificate must indicate the marks equivalent to marks in Intermediate.

    • Applicants must have passed: The Intermediate (Part I and II) examination with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry or Computer Studies from any Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education in Pakistan. Applicant must have scored 50% or more marks. OR An examination equivalent to the Intermediate. Such candidates are required to submit an Equivalence Certificate issued by the Inter-Board Chairman Committee, Islamabad before the semester starts. This certificate must indicate the marks equivalent to marks in the Intermediate examination. OR The GCE ‘A’ level examination with three subjects (Physics, Math and Chemistry or Computer Study).   • MS /M.Phil in Linguistics and Literature
    • Master in English or Four years Bachelor Degree in English with minimum 45% marks from HEC recognized institute or equivalent.
    • For award of MS degree HEC requires GRE General / GAT-General Test (at least 50% score). This must be passed before the date of admission in the MS Program.
    • Candidates who qualify the Admission Test will appear for an interview for final selection.
  • Master of Business Administration 1-1/2 Year
    • BBA Hons (124-136 Cr. Hrs), with 2.5 CGPA or 60% marks.
    • Candidates who qualify the Admission Test will appear in an interview for final selection.
  • Master of Business Administration 3-1/2 Year
    • BA/BSc./B.Com with 2.0/4.0 CGPA or 50% marks.
    • Candidates who qualify the Admission Test will appear in an interview for final selection.
  • MS in Applied Physics

    Specialization in Renewable Energy / Nano Science & Technology / Computational Physics.

    • M.Sc Physics / BS Physics / BS Engineering from HEC recognized institute with minimum CGPA 2.5/4.00 or equivalent.
    • For award of MS degree HEC requires GRE General / GAT-General Test (at least 50% score). This must be passed before the date of admission in the MS Program

  • Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering

    Specialization in Fluid Dynamics/Solid Mechanics

    • Mechatronics / Mechanical / Chemical ) with minimum CGPA 2.00/4.00 or equivalent.
    • For award of MS degree HEC requires GRE General / GAT-General Test (at least 50% score). This must be passed before the date of admission in the MS Program
    • Candidates will appear for an interview for the purpose of final selection.
  • Master of Science in Avionics Engineering

    Specialization in Control Systems Engineering

    • BE/B.Sc.Engineering(Electrical/Electronics/Avionics/ Computer/ Telecom/ Aerospace/Mechanical/ Mechatronics), Minimum CGPA 2.00/4.00 or equivalent.
    • For award of MS degree HEC requires GRE General / GAT-General Test (at least 50% score). This must be passed before the date of admission in the MS Program.

    Specialization in Communication Systems Engineering

    • BE/B.Sc . Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Avionics/ Computer/ Telecom), Minimum CGPA 2.00/4.00 or equivalent
    • For award of MS degree HEC requires GRE General / GAT-General Test (at least 50% score). This must be passed before the date of admission in the MS Program.

    Specialization in Signal and Image Processing Engineering

    • BBE / B.Sc. Engineering (Electrical/ Electronics/ Avionics/ Computer/ Telecom), Minimum CGPA 2.00/4.00 or equivalent
    • For award of MS degree HEC requires GRE General / GAT-General Test (at least 50% score). This must be passed before the date of admission in the MS Program.

    Specialization in Microwave Engineering

    • BE / B.Sc. Engineering (Electrical/ Electronics /Avionics), Minimum CGPA 2.00/4.00 or equivalent
    • For award of MS degree HEC requires GRE General / GAT-General Test (at least 50% score). This must be passed before the date of admission in the MS Program.
    • Candidates will appear in an interview for final Selection.
  • Master of Science in Information Security
    • BE / B.Sc. Engineering (Electrical / Computer), BE Software Engg, B.Sc. Computer Science, BIT (4 years), Minimum CGPA 2.5/4.00 or equivalent
    • For award of MS degree HEC requires GRE General / GAT-General Test (at least 50% score). This must be passed before the date of admission in the MS Program.
    • Candidates will appear in an interview for final selection.
  • Master of Science in Electrical Engineering
    • B.E/B.Sc Engineering (Avionics/ Computer/ Electrical /Electronics/ Mechatronics /Telecom). Fresh graduates are eligible but some relevant industrial experience will help a student gain more from the program.
    • Minimum CGPA 2.00/4.00 or equivalent.
    • For award of MS degree HEC requires GRE General / GAT-General Test (at least 50% score). This must be passed before the date of admission in the MS Program.
    • Candidates will appear in an interview for final selection.
  • Master of Science in Mechatronics Engineering
    • BE/B.Sc. Engineering or similar qualification in a relevant discipline. Fresh graduates are eligible but some relevant industrial experience will help a student gain more from the program.
    • Minimum CGPA 2.00/4.00 or equivalent. Students from other disciplines may be required to take prerequisite courses determined by the Department.
    • For award of MS degree HEC requires GRE General / GAT-General Test (at least 50% score). This must be passed before the date of admission in the MS Program
    • Candidates will appear in the interview for final selection.
  • Master of Science in Management Sciences (18 Months)
    • Minimum 16 years of education, preferably in a business related field, (MBA/MPA/M.Com /ACMA /ACA/B.Com 4 years program) and BBA Hons. 4 years program (124-136 Cr. Hrs.) with at least 2.5 CGPA or equivalent in last-earned degree from HEC Recognized University/Institute.
    • For award of MS degree HEC requires GRE General / GAT-General Test (at least 50% score). This must be passed before the date of admission in the MS Program
    • Candidates who qualify the Admission Test will appear in an interview for final selection.
  • Master of Science in Mathematical Modeling and Scientific Computing
    • 16 years of education with Major in Mathematics/ Computer Sciences or a related discipline, Minimum CGPA 2.5/4.00 or equivalent.
    • For award of MS degree HEC requires GRE General / GAT-General Test (at least 50% score). This must be passed before the date of admission in the MS Program
    • Candidates will appear in the interview for final selection.
  • Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering

    (With specialization in Design Engineering/Fluid Power Engineering)

    • BE / B.Sc. Engineering (Aerospace/ Aeronautical /Mechatronics / Mechanical / Chemical) with minimum CGPA 2.00/4.00 or equivalent.
    • For award of MS degree HEC requires GRE General / GAT-General Test (at least 50% score). This must be passed before the date of admission in the MS Program
    • Candidates will appear for an interview for the purpose of final selection.
    Ph.D Programs
  • PhD Engineering
    • Master degree (18years education) in engineering (with at least 24 credit-hours course work plus 6 credit hours thesis) with a CGPA of at least 3.0/4.00 or equivalent.
    • The candidate must have cleared GAT Subject Test (minimum 60% cumulative score) or a GRE Subject Test (at least 60th percentile) before the date of admission to the PhD Program
    • Candidates will appear for an interview for final selection.
  • PhD Management Sciences 4-6 years
    • Master degree in Management Sciences (24 credit hours course work along with 6 credit hours for thesis) with a CGPA of at least 3.0/4.0 or equivalent.
    • The candidate must have cleared GAT Subject Test (minimum 60% cumulative score) or a GRE Subject Test (at least 60th percentile) before the date of admission to the PhD Program
    • Candidates will appear for an interview for final selection.
  • PhD Linguistics and Literature
    • M.Phil/MS in English or equivalent with minimum CGPA 3.0/4.0 or equivalent from an institution recognized by the Higher Education Commission.
    • The candidate must have cleared GAT Subject Test (minimum 60% cumulative score) or a GRE Subject Test (at least 60th percentile) before the date of admission to the PhD Program
    • Other requirements as stipulated by the Higher Education Commission.
    • Successful completion of the University’s admission procedure.
uition Fees @ AU
Fees are reviewed every year. After revision, the new fees will be applicable TO ALL
Existing and New Students
Fees for each semester must be paid in advance and within the stipulated period. First semester’s fees are charged as per actual credit hours, for the semester. Tuition fees are to be paid only upon receipt of the bill from the Office of Finance. The bill will be sent to all registered students AFTER they have formally registered for the courses. The fees must be settled within the deadline as stipulated in the bill.

Students who fail to pay fees within the stipulated periods will have their names struck off the University roles. A student whose name has been thus struck off but who is otherwise eligible to continue his/her candidature will be reinstated only after he/she has settled all outstanding fees / fines, and has paid the re-admission fee as applicable at the time.

Note:Please note that Admission Fee, Sports Charges and Student Activity Fund are not refunded in any case. However, Tuition Fee once deposited, will only be refunded as per the following deadline:
i) 100% Tuition Fee Refund Up to 7th day of convene of classes
ii) 50% Tuition Fee Refund From 8th -15th day of convene of classes
iii) 0% Tuition Fee Refund From 16th day of convene of classes

Admission of candidates who are waiting for results will be cancelled if they fail to meet the minimum eligibility criteria after declaration of the awaited result. Tuition fees, if submitted, will be refunded. Students are not allowed to drop courses during their first two semesters. Refunds for dropped courses from third semester onwards are issued as per policy outlined in the student handbook.

*There will be a slight variation in BEE Tuition Fee.
Payment of Fees
The fee is to be paid before the start of the semester. Fee bills are enclosed in the admission letters sent to successful candidates. The last date for fee submission according to the first merit list is Thu, 24 July 2014. The last date for fee submission for the second merit list (if any) is Thu, 07 Aug 2014, whereas last date for fee submission for the third merit list (if any) is Fri, 15 Aug 2014. Candidates failing to submit the fee by the due date shall lose their seats, which will be offered to the next candidate on the merit list.
Financial Aid
Merit Scholarships
Air University may award scholarships to outstanding candidates securing admission to an undergraduate program after appearing in AU Entrance Test subject to the following conditions:-
 Candidates who meet eligibility conditions stipulated in the University Prospectus.
 Candidates who are selected through the specified admission procedure
Scholarship for Merit List Toppers
 The candidates must obtain first or second position for each degree program with an aggregate score of at least 70% in the AU List. A maximum of two candidates per degree program (first and second position holders) may be awarded scholarships.
 The same condition will hold for candidates who have cleared SAT, with marks as stated in the prospectus, and are thereby exempted from the AU Entrance Test. Percentage obtained in SAT will be considered as equivalent percentage in the AU Entrance Test.
 The award will cover full tuition fee, initially for the first semester.
 The award will continue for the entire duration of the degree program, provided that the student maintains a CGPA equal to or greater than 3.50.
Note: The University reserves the right to discontinue the scholarship award in case of acts of indiscipline, as defined in the Student Handbook. The University may also utilize the services of students in its various activities. Students will be compensated financially for rendering such services.
AU Need Based Scholarships
Scholarship forms are available at the Department Coordinator’s Office after second semester onward. The award of a Need-Based Scholarship is subject to availability of funds, good performance and good conduct of the students.
HEC Need Based Scholarships
HEC Need Based Scholarships are offered to deserving students, include tuition fee and a monthly stipend of Rs 6000/- for the duration of the program. Application forms is available at (www.au.edu.pk) in downloadable format.

Punjab Education Endowment Scholarships
Punjab Education Endowment Scholarships are offered to the deserving students on Merit cum needs basis. The scholarships are offered in Undergraduate Engineering disciplines which covers tuition fee of the program. The scholarship will continue throughout whole degree program upon satisfactory academic and disciplinary performance.
Eligibility Criteria:
 The student must holder of Punjab Domicile.

 Student must have secured at least 60% marks (first division) in their Intermediate Annual examination and must be enrolled in the Undergraduate Level Engineering in the same year.

 Passed Intermediate Examination from any board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Punjab.

 Student must have passed these examinations from

  • A government institution (Student of Federal Government Institutions situated within Geographical boundaries of Punjab are eligible.)
  • As private candidate
  • A private affiliated or

 The annual household income of parents/guardian (from all sources) must not be more than Rs.360,000/- annually.

 Not availing any other educational scholarship during the respective academic year.
