Two lucky couples get PhD degrees

LAHORE: (Saturday, December 28, 2013): In Punjab University’s 122nd Convocation, there were two couples who did their PhDs this year. Abdur Razzaq and Sobia Ilyas while Irshad ur Rehman and Saadia Butt did their PhDs in Faculty of Life Sciences.

Blind student Ayesha Khalid gets gold medal

LAHORE: (Saturday, December 28, 2013): In Punjab University’s 122nd Convocation, a blind student Ayesha Khalid proved that no disability could stop way to progress and if special persons are provided with a chance, they would show skills equal to the normal human beings with their undefeated efforts.

Ayesha Khalid, a blind student, got 1st position in the BA Examination 2012 among the disabled students as private candidate. She was awarded with Dr Muhammad Arif gold medal.
